Princess Diaries The Musical#0

i heard from a friend of mine the other day
of her idea of making the blockbuster hit
The Princess Diaries starring the fabulous
Julie Andrews, into a musical. now mind you
she is just a teen who is a huge fan of the
movie or movies.

i am kinda in between. it sounds like a cute
idea but would it meet Broadway Standards???

Comments??
I am not myself, but i become a character in itself, to only hope that my transformation is not of me, but of whom i characterize myself to be..

There is no successful movie that will not be made into a Broadway musical from here on out. It has been foretold. Damn you Marc Shaiman.

Rathnait, do you mind coming over and killing me now? I'm too chicken to committ suicide but the alternative (living through a live stage version of Princess Diaries) is too horrible to contemplate.

Sorry, bwaysinger. If I have to live this life, you have to suffer as well.

If any of you missed Manohla Dargis' review of the Princess Diaries 2 in the Times this week, you MUST see it:

Interesting review.. I'd like to see the movie myself because I have heard mixed things about it.

The first movie has a pretty good chance of being thought of as a Broadway show, and may become one, but I don't think that it will be a very good one at all. The plot is missing substance, as most G-rated movies now-a-days are and I can't even begin to imagine the songs in it without reoccuring thoughts of suicide. re: Princess Diaries The Musical

Repeat: the day Princess Diaries becomes a Broadway musical is the day Rathnait kills me.

Hey hey! Don't speak for me. Although, I supposed if I killed you perhaps I would then be given the death penalty, which would keep me from having to live in a Princess Diaries: The Musical world...let me give it some thought.

It probably will be a musical (Legally Blonde?) but I don't want it to be. The songs would be laughable and although I love Julie Andrews the plot's just stupid.
