DEFINATELY Beverly. That was a flawless performance.

Hard call - both very real - but Beverly seemed more consistant with the truth, so I'll go with her (and she wasn't hurt by having the PERFECT Cissy to play off of!)

Hmmmm.... well then who is the hotter Charlie Dick?
The guy in "Coal Miners Daughter" or Ed Harris?

The guy in Coal Miner's Daughter was Bob Hannah. I have no objectivity when it comes to Ed Harris, so I can't vote - unless I get to vote to have him shipped to me ASAP.

I feel about Jessica the same way I feel about Bernadette, so I can't be impartial.

I adore Jessica too. Could the word dignity be best to describe her appeal?

I was in an elevator at City Center many years ago with Ms. Peters and I was struck by how beautiful her skin was. The hair, the skin, really amazing.

Jessica is one of our goddesses. However, I've always had a serious problem with someone who got to have Mikhail's child, and then spend her life with Sam Shephard. That's just not fair.

Dignity? Sexy would be better... re: Jessica or Beverly as Patsy Cline

Yes, Bernadette is incredible still - there must be quite the picture in her attic, eh?

Definitely Beverly. She did her own singing.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Raithnait - she's always had it. It's interesting to look at the wealth of talent and shear 'presense' in mature American actresses: Jessica, Susan Sarnadon, Meryl Streep, Angelica Houston, Glenn Close, and on and on. Kind of makes you wonder why people pay any attention to the men. Although, I guess I can think of a couple of reasons re: Jessica or Beverly as Patsy Cline

Oh now SURELY, Raithnait, if I can appreciate the gifts of all those women (yes, even the sensual and sexual aspects,) then you can understand the appeal of some of our more 'interesting' actors re: Jessica or Beverly as Patsy Cline

Raithnait - well of COURSE you get Mr. Pitt - he's a 'girlie' man re: Jessica or Beverly as Patsy Cline I'm afraid my favorite at the moment is (and has been for awhile now) Daniel Day Lewis. I know he's not American, but OH WELL!

I think Adrian Grenier is hot as well. And I also have a weird thing for Martin Short...

Hmmm - I could actually go for women before Martin re: Jessica or Beverly as Patsy Cline If I could have had the leads in Tequilla Sunrise - Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell AND Michelle Pheiffer - I would have died happily.
