My friends and I are having a picnic in central park if anyone would like to join us. We are going to be in SHEEP MEADOW from 12-6? Email me for more details...

I had to go camping last weekend. I hae camping. It was on the beach though and I saw dolphins, buit there was no shade, no where to actually 'cool' off (being in the water with a burn makes you burn worse), and I sunburned the first day and it only got worse. My burn is peeling now -- including my face, which makes me look like a leper.
I'm actually going camping by choice early next month. With how stressful work is these days, I just want some peace and quiet. Camping sounds like it's just what the doctor ordered. :)
I get so uneasy in the ocean becasue I've seen JAWS one too many times and have heard stories of shark attacks in three feet of water. But I do have a sharktooth necklace that I bought because the salesguy was cute!
We'll be Bar-B-Quing a nice fatty brisket on the grill at the Bialystock sundeck on the 4th, served with my homemade beet coleslaw and - cheesecake, after, (ELI'S) of course.
To drink, Iced Tea with Pernod!
It's 90 degrees; I'm hot; and I'm in need of brisket and cheesecake!
I'll more then likely be in the backyard in my lawnchair watching the fireworks displays after I drug poor Bear. I don't like to go very far when the fireworks start to go off because he goes into meltdown. This year I decided to stop at the vet's on the way from work tonight to pick up some chill pills for him. I hope they work. Poor 120 lb baby, he gets sooo scared.
It'll be the beach during the day (with American Flags set up around my beach chair!). It's Kentucky Fried Chicken and apple pie for supper and then The Boston Pops outdoor concert on A&E at night. The concert always concludes with the 1812 Overture featuring live cannons. Love the fireworks that follow. Love the sexy Maestro!
Drat! I just learned that the Boston Pops will not be airing the entire concert on A&E tonight. Instead, it's just the last 1/2 hour, followed by the fireworks on CBS (it starts at 10 PM). Still, it's a chance to see the dashing Maestro Lockhart on TV. Man, he's gorgeous!
Your welcome to them, Piglet! Poor babies. They just don't understand what all the fuss is about. If the pills do help, I'm going to get some more for New Years. I hate doing it to him but at his age, I'm more afraid of him having a heart attack. It's better if he sleeps through it.
Happy 4th of July! Hope everyone has a SAFE and fun weekend planned! :)
I'll be watching some fireworks at night and yes, I'll be taking out my "1776" DVD and watching it with the hubby later on today. :) *SIGH* It's such a great show! :)
LOL well, Happy July 5th! I'm posting late on this one.
I spent Independance Day at a relatives house. Ate too much, and turned pink in less than an hour because I'm about as pail (or is it pale)...damn English language....well, I'm about as white as either Bebe Neuwirth or Bernadette Peters. I usually don't go in the sun, but the swimming pool was just calling my name. It was too hot today.
I prefer the pool to the ocean as well. Especially after I watched the news last night that a woman had been atacked by a shark. OK, so it was in Maui....still! They could have sharks around here.
