Gypsy has THE ultimate overture

I usually skip over the overtures. I cant listen to a song where there is no singing.

Candide should be on the top of the list... The FULL Merrily overture with the Tuba solo of Good Thing Going... gives me chills. Guys and Dolls has a nice overture... Gypsy's prepares you for Styne's best score.

CATS! - I never skip it... re: Favorite Overtures Plus, in performance it's so unique with all the cats running through the audience with the blinking lights. Not the way the current tour does it, but you know, the was it's supposed to be done....

Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05
