I subscribe to Rob's blog thingy and just read his post about the latest Wicked casting rumors. Is BroadwayWorld passing along rumors too now? I was a little surprised, but at least they admit that's what they're doing.
Just as long as they don't turn into that other web site.
If that's true Popcultureboy, I don't think you were too stable going into the theatre to begin with.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
It sure sounds like Stephanie Block. I wonder if they will have her do standby for Idina once BFO closes? I have to assume Eden is out of there very soon. LBB is apparently gone 8/8. As far as Ben Vereen, I don't see him calling himself a "corn fed hick" but who knows?
So my dear you think you can get to Broadway. Well, let me tell you something. Broadway has no room for people like you. Not the Broadway I know. My Broadway takes people like you and eats them up and spits them out. My Broadway is the Broadway of Merman, and Martin, and Fontaine, and if you think you can build yourself up by knocking other people down... ...GOOD LUCK... Seinfeld
For my own selfish reasons, Stephanie Block should headline the national tour instead of the broadway company!!!! =D
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
I think Ben Vereen is an amazing performer---i think he was fabulous in Pippin and Fosse---I think he'd make a great Wizard. I also am looking forward to seeing George Hearn in the role.
I love Ben Vereen. I cant decide if he is right for the Wizard. Im sure he would do an amazing job but I feel like he is too talented and it would be wasted in such a small role.
