Did anyone see "A Capitol Fourth" on PBS last night? Clay Aiken did a terrific job with his rendition of The Star Spangled Banner to open the show. Later, he sang "Measure of a Man" and "God Bless the USA". Yolanda Adams was the only other singer that did an outstanding job. Vince Gill was just okay and it seems that Amy Grant has totally lost her voice somehow (or was she recovering from sickness)? It was nice that a tribute was done for Ray Charles, but what hole did they drag Cicely Tyson out of??? She needs to crawl back in and take that horrendous outfit and her overblown pomp and circumstance with her. Yolanda Adams did a great job with "Georgia on My Mind" and Vince Gill did a passable job with "I Can't Stop Loving You". The host, Barry Bostwick, is quite the caricature... but fits his role in this production well.
