Broadway people in Spiderman#0

So feeling a little better and we ventured out last night to the Cinerama Dome. Terrific , fun movie. Besides Molina other Broaday folk I caught were Donna Murphy as his wife, Greg Edellman, and I swear I say Kristin Chenoweth in a crowd scene. Lots of moe broadway people but I only knew them by face. Not by name.

lol Matt stole my joke!!

I told him I went to see the film, but Linda was playing Doc Octopus' wife that night. :)

Donna was excellent. I felt like this film really took the time to develop characters and their relationships. Having actors like Alfred, Donna, Greg, etc. allowed for maximum character development in little time. Snaps for Broadway actors in movies!!

I thought that was Reese Witherspoon. But I might be confused. I mean, they are right around the same age.

Nope, that was Hal Sparks. Greg was the campus doctor that Peter visits.

That was my little stab at them possibly casting Cheno in Legally Blonde.

Damn, jokes aren't nearly as funny when you have to explain them! re: Broadway people in Spiderman

I have plans to see this movie tonight. I hope Donna is in, I've yet to see her perform live. I can't wait to see Alfred Molina. I loved his performance in the movie IDENTITY. Plus the Fiddler CD is nice. I'll look for Kristin in the crowd. Will she be wearing a neck-brace? That might help. Greg Edellman, I've seen in the previews so I'll recognize that scene when it comes. As for Hal Sparks.. well, I'm sure I'll need to restock on popcorn at some point...

I liked this movie very much, actually. Definitely THE best action/adventure/super hero movie I've ever seen. Alfred Molina was awesome. Donna Murphy's role ended early on, (the effect was very cool.) but she was wonderful with what she was given to work with. Greg also fit right in to the ensemble cast of characters that evolve before your eyes. The movie itself was just incredible. The story, although very melodramatic, does not disappoint this time around as I feel it did in the first one. Great summer flick. The theatre was full when I saw it, and it's a Thursday afternoon, plus I hear it has already made 45 million after yesterday, so if you go to see it this weekend be prepared for tons of people and long lines.... I'd say it's worth it. Especially to see our theatre folk on the big screen.

I enjoyed the sequel much more than its predecessor. Though the narrative follows classic, mythic lines, the filmmakers take the time to invest the material with some emotional depth, thanks to the direction and lovely performances by Maguire, Harris, Dunst and company.
