I sort of touched base on this in the superstar usa thread, but I was thinking about parallels between entertainment today and the French revolution. Back then they didn't have radio or tv. They had printed word and real life to keep them entertained. If you didn't know, the killings during the French Revolution were entertainment for the people. People would go to see the behedings for entertainment. I am not calling our entertainment choices in the US that bad. We don't go around watching killings for the entertainment in our neighborhoods, but we do watch it on television. It seems disturbingly parallel to me. Since studies show watching violence on tv makes children more violent, what is everyone's thoughts?
