Hello, all! Long time lurker, first time poster here. I am a theater lover from the Southern U.S. I make it up to New York City about twice a year to see my hometown and catch a couple of Broadway shows. I will be visiting soon and am planning on seeing Wonderful Town. I have a question to pose to those of you familiar with the show and the set-up of the Hirschfeld Theater. I need to purchase 4 tickets. According to Telecharge, my best choices would be either Row L (Right Orchestra), Row Q (Center Orchestra) or Row B (Center Mezzanine). What do you think would be my best choice for this particular show at this theater? Thanks for your advice!
Definitely row B center Mezz..the Mezz at the theatre is not that far back..my first time I saw the show I was up there and could actually see facial expressions quite well.
As an usher there, I can tell you that the Mezz is excellent--particularly any seat (even far left or far right) up to J or so. Personally, I think any seat in the Mezz is fine. Any seat in the Orchestra is good except maybe the far sides up front. It's a great theatre to see a show. =)
Thank you all for your advice, folks! You have been very helpful. I will go for Row B - Center Mezzanine seats. I'm looking forward to the show. I hear Donna Murphy is terrific!
To junglered, I'm from Ohio and was in NY 2 wks ago and took in WT. The mezz seats will be great. Hope you got them already. DM is wonderful. The Bernstein songs are great. You'll love it. Welcome to BW.C.
I saw Kiss Me, Kate from the Mezz and it was ok, very close Mezz at this theatre. But I saw Wonderful Town on the third row center orchestra. I enjoy being really close, it made me feel like I was in the show. And the actors are right in your face. It is great!

i love the hershfeld theatre its beautiful and its the only broadway theatre ive seen 2 plays in( MoLM and WT) For Mancha i had fifth row dead center it was a lot to take in but different show in total. For Wonderful i was 2/3s back center orchestra and i enjoyed the scope of things even though it was kind of far back.
