Wow, I hope she recovers soon. It sounds like she was really lucky it was not worse. I can not imagine how horrible it would be for a singer to lose thier ability to speak or sing. Good luck to you Melissa, cuz I know you are just glued to the board while you recover!

She is expected to have a full recovery and is out of the hospital.

WOW. As some one who is familiar with people getting strokes, I must say she is a very lucky person right now. Granted, getting a stroke is no fun, but she survived and has no damage to her voice. She must be very happy.

A stroke would be a nightmare for anyone but particularly for someone as young as Ms.Chiatt. My wishes for a speedy recovery.

Oh my god...the second I read that she had a stroke, all I could think of was, "She's so young and so little! I hope that she was able to stand it and that she's all right!" My wishes for a speedy recovery and only good health.
