So Alice wasn't cast in the Bdwy Production of Little Shop but has done a few straight plays in the meantime! She also did Company and Tell Me On A Sunday at O' Neill but when is she do back on broadway where she belongs!?!
I hope she finds something (or something finds her) because she was highly enjoyable in FIVE FLIGHTS. I had a more enjoyable time at that play than I did at the anemic "why did they even bother?" production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
I was lucky enough to see her as Amy in Company at the Kennedy Center, and she was hysterical...She literally stole the show, and was just wonderful...I hope she gets her time on Broadway to really shine...
For heaven's sake, don't try to be cynical. It's perfectly easy to be cynical.

it would be interesting if Alice ripley played audrey when Kerry butler leaves...that is if LSOH is still playing

Considering she refers to the experience as "Little Shop of Humiliations" I would be interested in seeing/hearing her reaction to even being *asked* to replace Butler. Ooooh - can you feel the chill in the air...???
How about replacing Idina? She's a coupla years older, but Alice has the pipes and the stage weight. She's at her best in darker roles, and Elphaba's pain seems more right for her than Audrey. I love her, too, and can't believe no one has found a vehicle for her post SIDE SHOW.
