Goodness, so many to choose from!

I LOVE "Chita/Rita," "Aida," "Master Class," "The Lion King," "More Miserbales," "Jekyll and Hyde," "Grim Hotel," and "Parody Tonight."

Also notable: "Being LuPone," "Into the Words," "Souvenir Things," "Miss Saigon," "Mess of the Spider Woman, "On the Ashkebad, Tblizi and Kiev Express," and "Liza One-Note"

I hate to admit that much of my knowledge of earlier musicals comes from "Forbidden B'way"; you know you're addicted when you hear the song and you can't sing the real words, but you can sing the FB words :)
There are glasses to raise in the praise of survivin' the day

Gagtime is my alltime favorite, though more miserables, chita/rita, into the words, and Imitation (with carol channing) are up there too

"Beauty's Been Decreased" and "Chita/Rita" are two of my faves. I'm waiting for a "LSoH" parody...

Love,

I can quote what i remember it is new and i have seen it twice.
I had a dream
I'd play an adult someday
Why did i do it
What did it get me
Bad reviews and mixed review clippings
The next time i go i will get the rest.
It is brilliant.

He has a sheet music company he is listed on the Upper West Side.
Or you can check with the Producers to see if they are selling it.
My guess is it is not available yet.

Gentle Corine,

You know I've been a harsh critic of yours, and I apologize for that. However, it seems that your writing skills have improved considerably. The last message you posted on this thread was nicely written and it "flowed".

I'm so glad you heeded my advice and signed up for "Hooked on Phonics"

I haven't seen the latest incarnation of FB but, from past shows, some of my favorites have been;

The Kiss Me Kate revival with Mandy and Bernadette then later with Liza and Jerry Lewis

Stritch (sung to the tune of Zip). This is by far one of the funniest numbers they have ever done.

The Julie Andrews Victor/Victoria parody was funny as was THe Rent Paraody "Rant" with the song Too Queer for You, Too Hetero for Me

Some of my favorites:

Mandy Patinkin: "Somewhat Overindulgent" ("known as a male chantoooose!")

Stritch: "The Ladies Who Screetch" ("Ev-Re-Bod-Dee ....DUCK!")

Michael Crawford: "Put on Your Phoney Voice"

"I Strain In Vain To Train Madonnas' Brain"

The entire "Mess of the Spider Woman" ("Death & Rhumbas....Pain & Chintz.. Glitz & Anguish...typical Hal Princcccccccccccccccccccccccce!")

Anna Karinina: "On the Askeblad, Tblisi, and Kiev Express" ("Send me back to Moscow in a body bag!")
"Christ, Bette Davis?!?!"

At the dawn of time, Broadway was a muddy swamp, and chorus boys had to forage for sustenance. Until one day a black monolith appeared...it was the birth...of theatre!

The Patti Lupone Masterclass is an absolute riot. "But it's not about me, no matter how many many many of you want it to be."

I also love the Anything Goes/Patti Lupone number. And anything to do with Liza always cracks me up.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Ultimo fave was the LES MIZ parody. Why? It completely burst the balloon of all those LES MIZophiles that got obsessed with that show. I remember playing the parody for one of those folks when it came out on DVD. They reacted like I hoped: complete and utter affrontation at anyone DARING to make fun of that turgid operetta completely built upon three chords.
