But then again, although it might conflict with equity, but if i was in a show that closed before the tony's, I would rehearse and perform for free. I mean it is the Tony's!

In the case of songs to perform, I think Wicked should do "For Good", because since both Kristin and Idina will probably be nominated, it shows them off more that any other duet they have.

Would love to see the Tony Musical segments especially those not abridged & especially the Alexander Cohen years available on DVD. While we are at it, all the Broadway segments on the Ed Sullivan show as well

I once read in Variety that nominated shows actually have to pay to perform on the awards show. Is this still so? How much would the producers have to pay for their show to be seen?

If Caroline or Change is nominated (which hopefully it will be) I think the opening song would most likely be performed, but I don't know. I particularly liked Anika Noni Rose's songs- the one about the house she wants to live in someday all alone, and the one about dancing and being with her friends (the songs aren't listed in the program). To anyone who saw this, what do you think might be performed?

I would be surprised if WICKED did anything other than the whole Defying Gravity number. Medleys hardly ever sell a show. Defying will surely sell a lot of tickets to WICKED the next day whether it wins best musical or not. Of course the producers will want to pick a number that fetaures both their stars, but What Is This Feeling and For Good won't do as much for them as Defying Gravity and if they do the whole song, both of them are featured, though Idina gets the best of it.

Thank you, tpdc. "Defying Gravity" is definitely their best choice. "For Good", while touching, is slow and doesn't SHOWCASE either of them. At least Kristin can sing "You can still be with the Wizard..."

This is probably the best number in the show staging wise, and that will really capture the show.

I'd like to see "What is this feeling?" from Wicked and "She loves to hear the music" from Boy From Oz.
