What was the last show (musical or non) that got under your skin and you were memerized?

RENT, GYPSY, and HAIRSPRAY were not mine, but there, I've said their names so no need to list 'em. LOL

PASSION was the one that readily comes to my mind.

Yours?

Les Miserables!

The Full Monty. I saw it here in Melbourne three weeks ago. I went along not really expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. This was to have been the beginning of a national tour but it is to close in a couple of weeks as they couldn't give tickets away to it.Pity.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS! Now, I didn't get to see it, but last June, when I heard the cd for the first time, I literally became obsessed and wanted to listen to it ALL THE TIME!

Cabaret and Jekyll and Hyde-both incredible shows, but in the end doomed due to poor casting judgment.

I can't stop wishing it were still running. I do hope Rosie brings it back, somehow.

I hope I can be in it!! ... time for a non-equity version! (Wouldn't that just pull the wings off some people's butterflies??)

There are few musicals that 'get under my skin' as such. But, sadly, it is The Last Five Years. I don't listen to any musical CDs bar this one. Hey - it's Valentine's Day, perhaps a little trip down Jamie/Cathy marital bliss/hell will cheer me up!

*rereads BB's post. Oh sorry! You said musical or non. Oh OK, the last show I saw that got really under my skin and made me think so much was The Man Who, a play based on the book The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat. It was a beautiful production in every aspects. I was mesmerised.

Cabaret, without a doubt. I was in shock the first time I saw it, and even after that it never failed to get to me.

I think it was The Wild Party for me. I thought Toni Collette was so great. Cabaret and Ragtime also did it for me.
