Same!! I think with the Beanie fiasco and the recent Company, hopefully producers are realizing we want SINGERS (SANGERS) over actors who can hold a tune. I think she will be regal and fabulous. Everyone saying she is too young are just being ignorant because she's very attractive. She's the right age and the right type.

I mean I don't like it, very chic, but just feels like not too much thought went into this.
I'm kind of interested in a bare bones version, but I also feel like this director has shown us their bag of tricks. I'd rather someone like Marianne Elliot

Maybe it’s because so many of the photos you typically see of her are very dramatic black and white close ups, but the photo of Nicole on the website is giving me a Maria Callas vibe.

Just saw on the show’s Instagram that Rachel Tucker will be playing Norma Desmond on Monday evenings and other certain performances during the West End run.

I'm on record as being excited about Lloyd & Scherzinger's take on this, but that video gives me nothing.

The last big star-driven production from this director amounted to a few folding chairs and a single revolve that made Sam Gold's productions look like something from Alex Timbers.

Look, after a string of ALW productions directed by Laurence Connor, it's nice to see him working with a REAL director again...even if it is a minimalist revival. Jamie Lloyd at least has a point of view and usually gets great performances out of actors. For me, he's the cause for excitement.
I'm curious about how the score will be handled for this revival, if it's a full orchestration, or pared down, or new arrangements. Any intel?

They're clearing going for a "young sexy " Sunset, but I'm not sure that works with the material... I mean even having Max young is kind of strange? But I guess we'll see. People seem to like his style. I find it kind of boring. Curious if we get a full orchestra too.

So agree. Webber was best with strong collaborators like Prince.
