There are no threads on the site, am I the only one that saw this? It was sold out today.

It is 90 minutes of FUN MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP. Amazing performances and vocals all around and great use of the space, basement of a grocery store. Go!

I will have to agree with the last post, a campy funny musical, but not a "must see" show. Very talented cast and musicians though. Great energy. Warning: masks are mandatory!

Very funny, if a bit overlong (a good :10 could have been cut). The cast goes all in on the conceit, busting their asses to make it as insane as possible and mostly succeeding. Fantastic use of an odd space. Lots of discounts floating around if you’re on the fence.

What discount codes are there? So I can kill myself for paying full price.

For those who have seen the show, how's the venue?  Is it well air-conditioned?  So many off-Broadway theatres have been sweatboxes this summer.

I was there yesterday, which was the hottest day (96 F and sunny and super humid) and inside the theater I had to put my hoodie on. The AC was amazing.

I saw "Camp Morning Wood" there last summer and it was very comfortable. They also had air purifiers positioned around the space. Not sure if they are still doing that.

That is the absolute worst off-Broadway space I have ever been in. There is even a joke about it in the show: “….in the basement of a Gristedes.” But it’s no joke. The sight lines are ridiculous. There is almost no good seat in the entire place unless you sit in the front row. There are poles all over the place, and it is very easy to accidentally buy a ticket and end up behind one of them like I did. The show is hysterical. The space is a disaster.

There are discounts at Playbill and BroadwayBox. There also seems to be a le groupon. (ducks)

I saw it tonight. Didn't quite love it--a few of the jokes felt too cheap or easy, and there were moments I wished it was...more clever? Smarter? But I did laugh a lot, they made great use of the space, the vocals sounded terrific, and overall it worked. I did use the Playbill discount so got the standard ticket for $49 (plus fees), and definitely got my money's worth.

One of the funniest moments was one I don't think was scripted. When Cal gave Rose his jacket, instead of helping her put it on John Riddle said, "You'll have to put it on yourself. My mic just went out." Which seemed like a bitchy and in-character thing for Cal to say, but the Rose actress started laughing, and Riddle proceeded to carry a handheld mic through the rest of the show and during the singalong (I see in previous Instagram videos of it that he usually doesn't). Fit in perfectly with all the breaking-the-fourth-wall references (loved the line about striking the bench).

It's in what used to be the UCB Theatre (rip)

I had an absolute blast. So so funny. Can't recommend it enough.
Much funnier than I expected. And the singing was great.

looks like this is becoming a solid little hit? It just extended into November, had a Today Show segment, and people in theatre/comedy circles seem to love it. Might have to check it out.

Fun evening.  Wish it was funnier.  Did they have to sing every song all the way through.

Cast is fine.  But don't miss Marla Mindelle as Celine.  Priceless!

I enjoyed this enough when I saw it.
The only real issue I had is I didn’t quite get a lot of the references and songs at times. So I feel a good chunk of the humor went over my head.
What I understood I often found very funny so I certainly appreciate others love for it. I just wish I was able to join them the whole time.

The show was on Seth Myers last night, which feels rare/notable for an off-Broadway show. Anyone seen it at the Daryl Roth yet? Going by social posts it seems like it's been upscaled significantly compared to the old UCB space (where I saw it & had an absolute blast).

The way this is selling plus it's strong word-of-mouth makes me believe this will be around for a while if it can find a permanent house.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

This looks like fun, especially after one makes a quick stop at the dispensary.
