Summer Theatre

I’m not usually in the city during the summer - but looks like I’ll be in town late in July. Not the busiest time for new things, I know. Any theatre been announced that I should be excited about?

Looking like it may not be a great summer.  Many current shows haven't really struck gold & many look like they won't extend or will close early.

New to Broadway in July will be The Kite Runner at the Helen Hayes.

June 17 - July 17 Richard III is scheduled for the Public's free Shakespeare in the Park

 Kinky Boots returns to NYC...Off-broadway 

At the Irish Repertory Theatre starting previews July 21 is Butcher Boy a new musical based upon the novel by Patrick McCabe

There are a few interesting concerts scheduled at 54 Below; the ones I am saddened to be missing are Lucie Arnaz's dates July 14 - 17
