Saw it from the very last row and thought it was fine. Dragged in places like many said. The rewrites seem to have led to a very disjointed new version. Nice to see Cecily on stage. She was good. Seeing what she can do on SNL, It felt to me that she was holding back from creating full characters. These characters for the most part are stereotypes (for a reason) and it seemed maybe she (or the director) didn’t want to lean into them for fear offending. Leading to none of her characters feeling any different from each other. The theater itself was great. Wonderful new theater space.

What size are the programs? Was hoping to request one by mail and want to send the right-sized SASE. Thanks!

They're the size of a normal Playbill, so whatever you send for those should work.

Saw this last night via rush, and the seat was front row center. I enjoyed it. I agree some segments went on a little too long, but Cecily was great. I thought she most shined as Agnes Angst. I was completely unfamiliar with the show and went solely for the opportunity to see Cecily on stage. I was not disappointed.

First time at The Shed, and thought it was a great space. Also, the staff was the most helpful/attentive of any I've ever experienced, so kudos to them.

I saw this today and enjoyed it! Cecily was great. She was great at differentiating her characters and bringing each to life uniquely. I would agree some parts dragged a bit and I wasn't a fan of some of the sound effects. The impressively timed ones that assisted her pantomiming were good, but the ones that marked her transitions were a bit too fake-sounding. I wasn't a fan of the transition scenes in general. In shows like Lehman Trilogy, actors slip between characters without transition scenes and they're just so good at it that the audience immediately picks up the switch that just happened. Cecily herself does it in this show when she switches between characters having conversations with each other, like the prostitutes in the car and the feminists at the bar. It's a much greater display of an actor's skill to switch characters without lights flashing in the audience's faces and cheesy sound effects. Definitely liked it overall, though!

She was a guest on The View the week before last. Her first appearance on the show. The hosts did their usual “ you are amazing” routine and how good the show is ( I think 2 hosts saw it) which is usually the kiss of death for a play, TV show or movie when they do that. The clip they shared didn’t look too enticing.

I saw this last night at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Usually don't care for one person shows, but I wanted to see Strong. I really enjoyed it.

I will say the storytelling was a little confusing. The part after the Angst part - with the 3 women going - was a little confusing. The Upper Crust lady was by far my favorite.

Direction was simple but effective, same with the design.

I'd recommend it. The touch of putting the post-it notes in the lobby after the performance was cute.

We saw this yesterday at the Mark Taper Forum and feel kind of Meh about it.  Quite a few empty seats, it might have been 60% full to start and there were a good dozen walkouts, even with just a few minutes left. It was a matinee so not a bedtime/sitter type thing.

we thought Strong did a good job with the role, but it felt disjointed to us. The first part was a bunch of different characters with interesting things to say, and then it evolved into a less interesting broken family story that just didn’t excite us.

facility is very nice, though,
