How was the view from there?"
It was very good considering the price. Any closer rear seat on the right and the kitchen will be largely blocked from your view. Quite a few things happen there. The stage is pretty high.

I didn't notice people in the first center rows having to look up the stage. My personal preference is to be a little further away, I'd go with rows E-G. These should be perfect seats.
Also, are these hard to get? I've never done digital rush before so I don't get how you even try and get the tickets since it's whoever clicks a button fast enough...
I took a look this morning. Had it pulled up few minutes before 9:00… I pressed the button right away and it said all tickets were held. Wow. Either they weren’t on sale or people really wanted those tickets. That was wild. Oh well. I’ll try again some other time.

I think you will have much easier time to get a rush ticket on a weekday. Before I picked a day I also tried and figured midweek would be my best bet to rush.

Thanks. I probably will. I hate digital rush. Let me wait in the rain for a few hours LOL.
I did digital rush last week for the Wednesday evening and I got Orchestra | Row A | Seat 5 which was only two seats over from where I had been for first preview. The view is fine as the stage isn’t super high.
A friend of mine did it a few weeks prior and got C1 in the orchestra and also said the view was good.

Got rush tickets this morning! My friend and I were both watching the countdown on our phones (from different locations lol) and hit the button right when it allowed us to. We were both successful but then she released hers due to me texting her I got them. (we figured we would both try for a better chance as we are unsure how it actually works).
For what it’s worth, yesterday I saw they had tickets available for the night show around 3pm - perhaps they release more seats as the day goes on? Unsure.

anywho - will report back on seat location!"
Ended up with Left Orchestra, C7 and C9. I asked the box office how rush seats are assigned and how many they offer per show, he said “IF we offer rush tickets for the day, it will be 1-10 seats at minimum”. He said on days they offer them, it will be no less than 10 tickets but it could always be more. They do it based on how the house is sold. If it’s selling really well, they won’t offer any rush tickets. He said seat locations varies.
I saw the show about 3 weeks ago and was excited to see if I noticed any changes - I did not. Lol. A few notes about the seats - great for the price however, you definitely miss stuff due to actors and sets blocking what is happening (though, I know this happens at any show when you sit this close). being that far left, you miss 75% of the staircase (which wasn’t really an issue - did miss Daniel’s entrance though) and 100% of the bathroom - the bathroom particularly being important for a certain scene. but overall great for the price and I’d do it again! Lol.
I thought hubby and I might as well try to catch the show before its hiatus, so I did the digital rush today. To my surprise I received center orchestra row H 115 and 116. Plus I was even able to use the $22-off code.
The Sondheim was maybe half filled. No wonder we received such a good location.
Too bad the show itself was not as good as our seats. It had a few bright spots, but it was mostly meh. We were disappointed to learn that Rob McClure, whom I was looking forward to seeing in the titular role, was out. I hope he does not have Covid. Otherwise, I would have thought he’d want to finish out the week before the hiatus. His understudy KJ Hippensteel was fine but not the Daniel/Mrs. D we were hoping to see. Oh, well. Not an unusual occurrence on Broadway, especially these days when the audience is lucky if the show is not canceled.
I did digital rush again yesterday for the matinee and was Orchestra | Row J | Seat 105 which was such a great seat and like Mamleh also used the $22 off TodayTix code. I was so excited to see KJ as Daniel and Casey as Stu and see the show before the hiatus.
I've seen KJ as Elder Price in Book of Mormon a few times and really loved him, but boy, he absolutely killed it as Daniel. He has so much heart and emotion in his performance and it shines so brightly. I feel like getting used to the costume changes takes a bit, but KJ did such a great job with those. I could tell a few people there yesterday were familiar or friendly with KJ as he got some love when he entered at the top of the show.
Casey was such a charming Stu and boy is he gorgeous. He also sounded so good singing Big Fat No. I've always been a fan of Casey in ensembles in the past and was so happy to see him get the chance to play a more significant role.
I presume Mamaleh was at the matinee too and the audience wasn't as into it as previous audiences I've seen the show with, but I feel like it won a few people over.
Mamaleh - Rob is such a force in this show and I hope you consider coming back when the show returns, because he is just an absolute masterclass.

The show--yikes. This has to be the worst, most cynical, most grating thing I've seen since Finding Neverland. Just utterly, deeply dreadful. The movie's a favorite, btw.
I do love this show. Saw it again last night and had just as good a time as I always have. I honestly wasn’t planning on going again before the temp shutdown, but…Casey. :)
I’ve had “Pretend” in my head since seeing the show. It had a lot more heart than I was expecting and got me teary eyed.
I have to say, performance-wise I wasn’t impressed with Casey, but I could certainly…see why he had that understudy track. Would like to see how Mark is in the role.

I was there last night too! Wow Casey is a beefcake. One thing I remember in the movie was a shirtless scene of Pierce Brosnan but I don't recall Casey (Stuart Dunmire) taking his shirt off last night. ah well.
This was my first time seeing Doubtfire and it was very funny and I was entertained... and even got teary eyed in act 2. Wow. I still remember first watching Rob McClure on Avenue Q and he's still amazing!
