Summer has officially started with the announcement of the cast of BB23! It looks like getting a new casting director this year paid off. This is the most diverse cast they’ve ever had without just having one or two token BIPOC houseguests and a bunch of Instagram recruits. I’m so excited for my favorite trash summer series to return. Premiering Wednesday, July 7th at 8PM ET/PT. Another Live premiere like last summer’s All Stars 2.

I was kind of bummed that the player who tested positive had to leave. She has alopecia and a professional dancer and SI Swimsuit Model. I remember her on SYTYCD a few years ago but didn’t make it onto the live shows. However, she was a recruit (one of only 2 or 3 recruits this year) and was replaced with a super fan. So that excites me about her replacement.

I noticed the diversity as well. Let’s hope the minorities don’t get nominated on the first round. It is always so embarrassing. I have been a fan since the beginning and cannot wait for the premiere. I am also encouraged that the entire cast is new. Get out the popcorn.

@smooth lover, if anything the cis white straights are the minorities this year because the cast is 50% people of color and two of the white girls are LGBTQ+ And I’m all for it!

I will say Frenchie surprises me. I knew he was a super fan but I’m going to be honest and say that I stereotyped him and judged him based on first appearances and I actually think I’m going to really like him. And he picked 2 of the people I pre season picked as my favorites for his team; Azah and Derek F (smoking Joe Frazier’s son!). His other pick, is who I pegged to go home week one…. Which won’t happen now.

I agree about white straights being in the minority. It is kind of cool. I think the casting is great. They are all very photogenic, smart and have personalities. Christian stuck out to me as someone I would like to get to know. I am not wild about the groups of four. I swear they have done that before.

Who is the replacement for the girl who tested for Covid?

The photographer for CBS is crappy which I have been saying for years. The house guests are better look8ng than there pictures on the CBS web site.

Frenchie is my favorite. He definitely falls outside the country boy stereotype. One of the photos that flashed from his package showed #BLM on his truck and he said that Derek F reminded him of his best friend (not sure if that means black, gay or both). He really should have thrown the dice thing when they gave him the chance to try it so he wouldn't seem like even more of a threat.

The two Tyler Crispin wannabes seem awful and I was glad Travis was the last guy picked.

I really hate when they start the season off in teams. They did it when 4 people came back and were team leaders but also did two teams this season on Canada.

I think the replacement was the cosplay seamstress who seems like...an acquired taste.

They won’t keep the groups of four for very long.

Brent is jacked.

Christian has some modeling pics online.

I am so on board with the new night 1 Live Feeds. The past 24 hours have been pure gold on the feeds. Frenchie is playing too hard and digging himself a huge grave. It makes me wonder what all we miss in the first week in the house since they usually are in the house for practically a week before the first episode and Live Feeds. I had high hopes for Frenchie I hope he turns things around.

Right now I’d say Azah is my favorite.

Oh man, these feeds have been INSANE!!! I have no idea how Frenchie got to these nominations, and I don't think he does either!

We're 60 hours in and I think he's already very much in the running for worst HOH reigns ever!!

Frenchie was so incredibly nervous during the first live show. It will be interesting to see how he gets along once he is no longer HOH.

Sadly I think Frenchie has sealed his fate with those noms. It would have been a MUCH better move to go back on his word to Travis rather than pissing off all the women. Plus his behavior after Christian was safe made him look super sketch.

I started off impressed that Frenchie defied the redneck stereotypes, but then he made about every bad move possible for an HOH. He just over-promised, over-thought and over-played. He blew up his game. I don’t how long he’ll last. At least, they sent home a potentially strong player home which is a smart move. I’m excited to see the HOH’s reign. He has the potential to be really strong. Hope he doesn’t take easy route and just send home “weaker” players.

I’m calling it now- Tiffany will win Big Brother… I am in awe of her game play. Tiffany, Azah, Claire, and Hannah are my favorites. They’re so smart and intuitive with everything going on. They need to have a 4 person alliance and they’d have the potential to be the first successful all woman’s alliance in BB History.

Frenchie is definitely in danger this week but does Ky nominate him and let him play veto or back door him and watch him explode? I’m thinking the former but hoping for the latter and have my popcorn ready. But if people listen to Tiffany they’d be smart not to vote him out.

To paraphrase some of the things she’s said…

“ Frenchie is just a fisherman fishing with no bait. Close your mouth and open your ears and you won’t get caught. Don’t open your mouth for no f***king fisherman. Frenchie is a fisherman with no fish. Is he really a threat?”

And then talking with Ky: “ There is a three headed monster and Frenchie is the mastermind. Why take down the big threat now? Go after the other two allies Brent and Whitney and make him sweat in his boxers. Take out Brent now next to Whitney and if one of them wins veto renom Frenchie and we vote out his ally. We need to weaken him” Ky asks: “ Could you see yourself working with any of those threats later on? And she goes “ if you were with a snake you’ll get your head bit off”.

Best casting choice since Vanessa Russo and Da’Vonne Rogers.

While I do think Frenchie will be leaving the BB house come Thursday, I absolutely think the producers on not ready to have him go. He is feeds Gold even though all the feedsters are over him, he is a great edit for the villain role. I can absolutely see production doing everything in their powers to manipulate the DR confessionals to make them rethink their target. Either make them think Britini is the threat with their questions or by subtly making them think it might be a good idea to have a big target shielding them of danger. Producers love to try and manipulate an outcome with someone they’re not ready to go. .

Frenchie auditioned 4 times before being cast. Being such a huge fan,  you would think he would have had a better idea on how to play. He should not have let himself become the first HOH. He could have turned on the charm and spent the time getting to know everyone acting as though he cared about them. He should have also held off on making promises. His concept was good as far as not going after minorities but then of course he did not go through with it. Had he stuck to it he could have had a long BB ride.

BB obviously encourages the cast to play into their stereotypes. He should have resisted and worked with his humanity and charisma.

BTW…..does he sleep in that hat?

They don’t seem to care for Brent. Seems they have tired of him. It is kind of funny because Brent said he was going to use charm as his secret weapon and now he seems destined for the front door. It was hilarious that the HOH was trying to convince Brent that he was the pawn to Britini.

OMG. The scenes with Brent and some of the women tonight were hysterical. He is so clueless. Talk about someone revealing their true colors. I guess all laid plans for some fly out the window as days begin to meld into one another.

Poor Brittani...she isn't going to age well during this. So nice to see, however, a bit of compassion can still exist in the house.
