I rarely use Ticketmaster. I'm fortunate enough to live close enough to NYC to purchase my tickets at the box office and save additional fees. When I DO use Ticketmaster I prefer to do it by phone. Of course, right now TM doesn't have phone service and box offices aren't open yet. This leaves me with only one option.
I have been trying to login at TM for about a week. They keep telling me I have to reset my password and they will send a code to my cellphone. Either it doesn't arrive at all or it comes hours later and by then my session has timed out.
Today I went to the local library and asked the reference librarian to help. I was doing everything correctly but had no better results there.
I was able to purchase SIX tickets via PayPal but unable to for Wicked this weekend. I’m not sure if it’s a Ticketmaster glitch or if Wicked just wasn’t accepting that type of payment method.
Ticketmaster sucks. I avoid it like the plague. The theatre whose Broadway series I subscribed to recently switched their customer ticket portal over to TM so I created a new account for that. I tried to delete my old account but Ticketmaster won’t let me because there is an indefinitely scheduled event that I got a refund for listed in my events. They said they can’t close an account with an active event.
I explained I have no active events because I got refund but they refuse to hear that.
They are the absolute worst.

OMG, right? But, like, this isn't a board about nature or even a thread about it, Jason. It's about Ticketmaster and no one asked you to push reply and comment. But, thank you for your contribution. What a gem.
Dollypop, Im glad you solved the problem! I have never had issues with Ticketmaster but I loathe Telecharge with every fiber of my being. I hope this solves any future issues!
Please remember that I come from a time when the standard way to buy theater tickets was to send a check with a letter and stamped, self addressed envelope directly to the box office and you received your tickets by return mail about 10 days later. Call me old fashioned, but I still prefer that way.

I was simply fondly remembering how pre-pandemic we all had complaints about various services, so dial down the outrage and rude reaction.

Why didn't I think of that originally?"
Now, so you won't have the problem again. Write down your user name and password, so you will have it again in the future. I do that for all websites that I don't use on a regular basis.
