I was looking at a few auction items on eBay and some say "A Chorus Line (New York Shakespeare Festival Production)". I can't find much about this.
Was this the Off-Broadway production before it transferred to Broadway (the way The Public has done with Hamilton, Hair)? My assumption is "New York Shakespeare Festival Production" is Shakespeare in the Park and it was performed there before hearing to a full production possibly Off-Broadway or Broadway? I hope my question makes sense

"A Chorus Line" premiered at the (I think) Newman Theatre in the Public's complex and after it's run immediately transferred to the Shubert.
