Just saw her obituary and didn't see it posted. What a lovely article about her life and her impact! Great to hear she was active til the end. https://suffolktimes.timesreview.com/2020/12/from-broadway-to-southold-peg-murray-inspired-a-love-of-performance-and-connection/

I knew Peg somewhat and this obituary/remembrance really captures her specialness. I believe the writer used the word "unpretentious," and that's exactly right. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger. What a great life she had.

Olga Swenson! 96 years! Her Wikipedia bio indicates she appeared in 1975's W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings.  I wonder how many recall this film? (I even read the book.)

Try to throw your Covid cares away long enough to remember the magic of what it’s going to feel like when you such a long, full life.

I only saw her once onstage; in the Chicago tryout of Forum with Phil Silvers in 1972.

I only saw her in CABARET but what I remember most about her were her appearances on ALL MY CHILDREN as Olga Swenson. She was always a joy to watch.

I really enjoyed her work on "All My Children". She was quite the scene stealer for a basically minor recurring character, and they kept her going for years. Just prior to joining "AMC", she filled in for Constance Ford as Ada on "Another World" and shared scenes with future "AMC" co-star David Canary. I never thought that anyone could take over a pivotal role like she did on "Another World" considering how beloved Ms. Ford was, but Peg was quite good. I wish the soaps were filmed in NY like they used to mostly be because so many beloved stage veterans could do double duty, as long as they had Wednesday off for the matinee.

I recall her in a Murphy Brown episode as a woman Charles Kimbrough was attracted to, tempted to cheat on his wife with but didn't.

Anyone else remember that?
