You can now download "Wear Your Crown" and Emma's short reprise of "Tonight Belongs to You" ("We went big, and yet we've blown it/Well, I guess I should have known it/All along tonight belonged to them" individually on Apple Music.
I wonder if placing "Alyssa Greene" before "Love Thy Neighbor" will make any difference compared to the live show.

LOL I am not crazy about her being in this and do not care for her in musicals. I will run to see her in a non musical in a heartbeat though. But I have to say, I kinda enjoyed her rap and really like the song.
So a few things: 1)I'm glad that they put the 2nd part to Tonight Belongs To You, wonder if it's the same as Broadway. 2) I'm kinda sad they didn't include the 2nd Changing Lives reprise at the end. 3) It's interesting that they switched the position of Alyssa Green and Love Thy Neighbor. 4) I really hope they added the cut lyrics back into Love Thy Neighbor and that they include the whole dance break. I know it's a long shot but fingers crossed.
Emma and Alyssa were underused throughout the show when it was on B'way, despite being at the forefront of the marketing campaigns.
That being said, I completely understand this controversy. Clearly Netflix and Ryan Murphy are billing this as "James Corden and Meryl Streep: The Musical, Part 2" and luring fans to see them and them only. This disappoints me.
The Prom probably won't be the disaster that Cats was, but this could very much get mixed reviews, with critics citing the imbalance between the adults' shenanigans and the lesbian couple at the heart of the story.
And that's the problem with the stage show. It's a glittery showbiz spoof grafted to a heartfelt progressive teen rom-com and tries to have both equally.
Streep ,Corden, and Kidman are undeniably the marquee names. The show's title isn't a known commodity.
I think mixed reviews are pretty likely here.
