There is an article in the Times today that crime is up 63% in neighborhood bodegas. 6 people have been murdered. They are attributing it to so many people being out of work.
All six of those shootings happened in poor, high crime areas with very high unemployment. It makes sense that someone who has no money due to the pandemic would steal. All of those shootings happened in the Bronx, where tourists would never travel to anyway.
Tragic and sad, but expected during these unprecedented times.
"I am not going to get into specifics but I have experienced a person in my life having eating disorder which is a mental illness and they were able to get all the help they needed. Was it expensive, heck yes but care was readily available"
Expensive treatment is the opposite of readily available.

What medical treatment today is not expensive? Hopefully, you have insurance and that helps cut down the cost a bunch. There are places that will also provide care to some people that are not financially able to pay for it. My point was that where I live there was not a lack of places to get help.

Congratulations! You figured out the problem with our healthcare system! We pay more and than any first world country and our care is worse for it!
