Spike Lees next project will be a movie musical about the origin story of Viagra, Pfizers erectile dysfunction drug.
The Entertainment One film is based on David Kushners Esquire article titled All Rise: The Untold Story of the Guys Who Launched Viagra.
Lee is directing the untitled musical from a screenplay he wrote with Kwame Kwei-Armah. The movie will feature original songs and music penned by Stew Stewart and Heidi Rodewald, the duo behind the Tony-winning musical Passing Strange.
This sounds strange at first glance, but who knows how it will really be at this point? Right now, I would just say, ask your doctor if this movie is right for you.
Life is the most precious gift in the world... embrace every moment
I was not on board until I saw that Stew and Heidi Rodewald are writing the songs. Passing Strange is my second-favorite musical of all time, and I need some new music from them yesterday.
