Is Mary Martin in Hello, Dolly! The only example of this? Have any other shows ever toured?

"Rose in Gypsy was like going through therapy for me. Playing Rose helped me put a lot of emotions to bed. There was so much lacking in Rose and that's why she had to prove herself through her children. [interviewer]In ways that reminded you of your mom?[/interviewer]. Let's just say the role was very interesting for me. That one was the most interesting [I've ever played]" - Bernadette Peters (2018)

There was talk of sending Spider-Man on tour to the front lines of conflicts to get the two sides onvolved to agree to work together on solving their differences

Certainly not a lot have, I'm unsure of the history of this, but I'll add to this by saying this is precisely what military bands are for. Not saying to NOT tour shows there, but there already is something in place for this.

I'm pretty sure The Fantasticks did a USO tour in 1969 or 1970? I think I read it in the Tom Jones book.
