Was Lone Star Love all that bad? The original cast album (sans Quaid) is kind of enjoyable. It sort of seems like we missed out on a delightful little show that might have seen some success had it been in more capable hands. Was Keith Carradine busy?

On 42nd Street, as long as you thought of it as an "entertainment" and not anything more, it was enjoyable enough. Never in a million years would I  Have thought it had Broadway aspirations. It needed more capable hands but in the end nowhere more so than at the producing end of the spectrum.
