Beautiful! I'd assume everyone got paid to perform?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I don't think I've ever seen a BGT/X-Factor/American Idol performance without a barrage of constant audience applause and shrieking. So this was such a welcome change, and actually tolerable to watch!
Sidenote...those Les Mis revival costumes, and that man-bun...what a fail. Just goes to show you everything that is wrong with that revival.
Tag, I was eating dinner and thought about my response to you and had to jump back on because I was afraid it came across as bitchy when I honestly didn’t mean it to be. :)
We now have footage from BGT in the past three weeks of Michael Ball both in Edna drag, and as Javert. What a time from British television for theater promotion.
Wasn't he using the man-bun even before the new staging? (Regardless, I will take my place with Bradley Jaden one more day before the storm or whenever.)
Also, related about hair: The Les Miz folks were all using their own hair, right? It didn't seem like there were wigs at all. I was wondering if that was something they cut out for covid safety reasons.
