You are 100% full of shiite.

Thanks for that. I didn't say it was necessarily true at all. I don't know, I have zero personal ties to the production. I asked someone involved if they still planned on opening, and he said it was up in the air. I don't need to make that up.

You also don't need to spread false gossip.

Is it a traditional red curtain or something more custom? Feel free to share the image if possible :)

1. I don't know if it's false or not. I didn't make it up, someone involved in the production told me. 2. I get what you're saying as a principle, but aren't these threads literally all gossip and speculation?

Um, nope. I guess you haven't been around here long enough to understand that.

I tried to upload the image but I don't know what I'm doing. But it's not a traditional curtain. It's got rolling hills and a very farm landscape look with the same wooden panels on the side.

So I checked out telecharge and a lot of people must have returned their tickets because there's many tickets available this week.

Jerry Zaks said in an interview that the set design is inspired by the paintings of Grant Wood.

After previews begin, I'll be most curious to hear how they handle the ending of the show, since the finale as-written is kind of anticlimactic (kids playing Minuet in G, badly). The Susan Stroman production's finale was quite fabulous: the whole cast playing trombones onstage.

The show curtain is Wood's painting "Stone City, Iowa"

Curious to hear from anyone seeing this about the set and what partial view might be like. It seems that there are closer partial view seats but not sure just how obstructed they'd be.

I saw Stroman's "The Music Man" on tour in Alabama and to this day it's the best touring show I've seen. It was just quality. Great sets, etc. Not sure who it was or if it was Union or not, but a really gorgeous design and I'm not a big "Music Man" person. So curious to see how this version differs from that one or if they just lean into it and take bits and pieces from that - like the trombones.

Looking at those stage photos, it looks like the closest rows extreme sides will be very partial view. The buildout seems pretty obscuring.
