You could try looking at his policies? Nah... can't do that...

HOWEVER, Court Packing is what's going on right now with Mitch McConnell holding seats open both on the SCOTUS and other Federal Benches that were rightfully Obama's to fill that he refused to allow him to fill. Expanding the court would be returning balance to a court controlled by people who the minority of the country's interests at heart. That's why Republicans go for the courts so hard. They know their opinions are unpopular and not supported by the majority so they fill the Bench with likeminded individuals to supersede the will of the people.

As for admitting PR & DC as states? That should absolutely be their choice or not, but there's no reason why these two territories should not have voting representation in the congress given they pay their taxes just like everyone else.

Just a friendly reminder the OP likes to come here make stupid (often racist) posts and then never return to the thread. Really not worth responding to.

"That's why Republicans go for the courts so hard. They know their opinions are unpopular and not supported by the majority so they fill the Bench with likeminded individuals to supersede the will of the people."

First, Harry Reid (D) was the one that changed the rule on appointment of federal judges needing 60 votes for confirmation to a simple majority. McConnell warned him on the Senate floor not to do this that someday it would come back to bite the Democrats and it did. McConnell then did a "Harry Reid" and changed those rules to include Supreme Court nominee. Maybe if Harry Reid never changed the rules the courts would not be packed with all those people you don't like because you would need a bi-partisan vote to confirm. I agree Garland should have received a up and down vote but ask yourself when McConnell made that decision to have the next POTUS make the next nomination did he or anybody else believed it would be Trump making the pick.

As for the will of the people, the people voted for a Republican POTUS and a Senate majority which gave them the power to make appointments to the bench. The Republicans actually gained two Senate seats in 2018. Elections have consequences as  President Obama loved to tell us when he won. Now if the Democrats take total control in 2021 you don't think they will try to confirm as many judges as possible.

People love to talk about Harry Reid, but they seem to be unaware that his ditching the judicial fillibuster was an act of desperation because Mcconnell refused to allow Obama to seat judges. So again, the problem starts with McConnell.  If Reid hadn't ditched the filibuster, there would be even more seats for Trump to fill with right wing judges.

And the people voted for Clinton. The EC voted for Trump.

But you already swore you would never comment here. You are neither a man of your word not particularly informed.
