Has this been previously announced or discussed? I think Altomare is a good choice, but I really hate when jukebox musicals come up with lazy titles that are just the name of the artist. I wonder if this will be more in the same vein as Beautiful or if it will be more similar to A Night with Janis Joplin.

It looks like it's taking the Beautiful route of having multiple artists' songs in the show - the article says that along with Joni's music, the show will also include music by Crosby, Stills, and Nash; Cass Elliot; and James Taylor.  I haven't heard about this before, but I love Joni's music and think this could be excellent - and Christy Altomare is perfect casting.

A book by someone without much experience directed by someone without much experience and no mention of a producer. I give this about a 2% chance of ever having a production.
