I really enjoyed the Chicago performance. It was nice to see something from one of the mainstays. I just confused about the shows they got. I’m guessing they asked most shows and these are the ones that responded, but it would’ve been nice to see something from more of the shows this season. Six, Company. I feel there’s so much missed opportunity here

Let’s just be real - none of these are going to sell tickets because nobody knows for sure when theaters will reopen so people aren’t going to be rushing to telecharge and buying tix. By the time we do have a definite date for reopening, this show and these performances will be forgotten and have no impact on sales at that time. Just watch the damn show and enjoy these performers getting to perform again.

Maybe Lauren Pattens performance will help her win the tony award?

Enjoyed everything so far except for MEAN GIRLS. But now there's this awful performance from DIANA.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Pretty sure she was going to win anyway.

I for one am so thankful to have this on my TV tonight. Would it be nice if they could showcase more shows? Sure. But the fact that this 2-hour special is on NBC in primetime on a Thursday night in December is pretty great as it is. Let's be real, we could be just getting 15 performances by the cast of Hamilton and stories from people about how Hamilton changed their lives. I'd much rather have this.

I don’t know who this Brett Eldridge guy is or why he’s here but he sounds good.

He is a popular country singer. I like him. A really nice surprise to see him. I saw an interview with him where he expressed his love for Broadway. And he's cute to boot!

A lot of this has been underwhelming and low key. It’s almost as if B’way is really dead and the whole country won’t even mourn them.

I’ve heard that “Diana”‘s Netflix premiere might be late in January... crappy preview so far. Hoping the material is stronger and suits Jeanna de Waal’s powerful voice even better.

It’s almost like these shows are performing outside on the damn street with no sets or effects to showcase what it’s really like onstage.

Oh, wait...

I’m really enjoying it and it’s making me miss the Broadway community and all it has to offer.

Unpopular opinion...Lauren Patten is better with her hands in her pockets. ??‍♂️

Yeah, anyone complaining about this special is insane. Theatres are dark and because of NBC, some performers are performing and Broadway is being shown to the masses.

I know we are all bitchy queens, but must we pick EVERYTHING apart?

I got an announcement/ad that Jersey Boys tickets are now on sale for performances starting May 31st 20201 through early January 2022. It popped up right after they finished their opening number.

Devoting so much time to Antonio’s Chorus Line is odd.

Didn't he mention earlier in the show that they were planning to bring it to Broadway? Maybe they are hoping it still comes.

That video for "If" from Diana was released last December. I liked it then, and I still like it. With the recent premiere of The Crown season 4, the timing couldn't be any better to promote the show.

Goodnight NYC. Tonight wasn’t my favorite, but at least it was nice to see all these shows reuniting and representing one of the hardest hit industries of the pandemic.
Like it or not, live theatre WILL be back someday, and it will be much more ecstatic than tonight's rather solemn presentation.
Jake Gyllenhaal: “...it will be stronger than ever.”
Aaron Tveit: “...it’s gonna be a real party that night.”

Remember folks... it’s Only Intermission.

ACL2006 or anyone else who wants to answer.....I only watched a few minutes of this.  Really only the Mean Girls performance.  I had tickets to the tour in Orlando in February, but got sick.  I still want to see it.  But is that song a good representation of the score?  Cause I thought it was really awful.  There was nothing catchy about it.  Maybe is was the performance?

Enjoyed her also. The lyrics to the song caught my attention. Especially the line about Charles stepping aside and letting William reign. It made me wonder what happens in the show to prompt that song lyric. Looking forward to seeing it. I was planning to see it the week after the shutdown.
