According to the below review, in this show the main characters' names have been changed from Aaron and Casey, to David and Jessica. So probably not an authorised sequel, then. I did wonder.

This doesn't seem like the smartest move from what seems to be a major musicals company, which is likely to desire good relations with Broadway creators in the future. But in fairness, it's possible that I'm interpreting the situation incorrectly.

Nor do I; I rely on Google Translate. The aforementioned review, or at least its translated version, makes mention of an "inevitable happy ending". So I would guess that yes, the relationship lasts.

Would have so gone to this! It’s 20 minutes random talk chat avenue bazoocam away from my home! Anyone know if there are any plans to do this again and/or any other productions on the horizon?

I don't know about any future plans, but for what it's worth, not going might be the best option for the foreseeable future anyway. I don't know if any COVID safety measures were put in place for this production, for either audience members or workers. While I think the existence of this show is interesting from the intellectual property angle, for safety reasons I wouldn't have recommended that anybody go see this production. Depressing but true.
