Arthur Laurents wrote a play that was literally called "New Year's Eve"

Oh, and there is a musical named Changes with a score by Addy Fieger, which chronicles the lives of a few characters in the timeframe of exactly one year, starting and ending with New Year's Eve. Larry Kert and Kelly Bishop were in the original Off Broadway cast in 1980.

Two remarkable New Year scenes - the Hollywood crowd celebrating New Year...and Norma singing about A Perfect Year.

In 1980, there was a Broadway musical entitled "Happy New Year" that lasted three weeks at the Morosco.  It was based on the play "Holiday," in which New Year's Eve figures significantly.

Am I right to remember a New Year's Eve scene in DANCE A LITTLE CLOSER?
Memories from 1983 are distinctly hazy at this point.

Are there any other lucky suckers who remember Alan Jay Lerner's last show better than I?

I believe that Belle performs the song "Here's to Us!" on NY's Eve in "Little Me".

The Act One Finale of "Legs Diamond" has them doing a countdown when the bullets start to fly.
