I used to be all for acceptance of others opinions. But somewhere in the last fifteen years or so, we’ve allowed opinions to become “my truth” or alternative reality. Facts are still facts. These lockdowns were a very unfortunate but necessary evil. What proves that fact is that as we’ve opened back up over time and trusted grown adults to simply follow the guidelines - far too many haven’t or make claims of their liberties being violated and here we are again facing what could be more shutdowns.

So rather than preach about the government keeping us shutdown, how about asking for some accountability and responsibility from the individual-because those of us who are just as tired of this as you, are sick and tired of watching others throw caution to the wind and prolonging this!

I went down a real k-hole trying to make sense of Clifton Duncan's politics, which can only be described as... smugly alternative.

As someone who is rarely on Twitter, I was also confused to see this term popping here and there. But Google was helpful! According to Dictionary.com:


"On the social media platform Twitter, a ratio, or getting ratioed, is when replies to a tweet vastly outnumber likes or retweets. This means people are objecting to the tweet and considering its content bad."

 

What a shame to see Clifton Duncan on the wrong side of this. He's very talented - if he becomes a pariah from this, it will be a greater loss for the industry than Chad Kimball.

I don't think this bodes well for Mr. Kimball's wife. She has a healthy TV career and I wonder how it could affect her. Have not seen her social media activity but I imagine she's not broadcasting the same message.

This is all so interesting. I’m not for canceling people. But I do find what he said a bit alarming, but also not THAT bad? Maybe Twitter just isn’t for everybody ...

Ebersole was a 9/11 truther and used to espouse conspiracy theories around that time about things like a secret elite plot to form a North American Union. I don’t know if she still believes those things, and such conspiracies have been largely abandoned (this is 15, 20 years ago now). I think she’s (wisely) clammed up about such things.
