The Supreme Court has ruled (in a 6 to 3 decision) in favor of LGBTQ worker protections. LGBTQ workers can now sue for bias. This also effectively ends the Trump administration's recent decision not to protect Trans worker rights.
I've seen many positive changes in my 73 Queer years on Planet Earth. This is one of them, and it's a big deal.
This is major. This is arguably a more important ruling for LGBTQ people in this country than marriage equality was and it’s a surprising piece of great news today.

Interesting note that Trump appointment to the Supreme Court (Judge Neal Gorsuch) wrote the majority opinion.
Trump appointed Gorsuch because he felt Gorsuch would align with the other conservatives, NOT because Gorsuch would shock the world with this ruling and majority opinion. The Trump administration opposed it in court. If anything, it’s another example of Trump’s poor vetting of individuals he feels will support his policies. Epic fail.
Mitch McConnell has been quoted to say it’s his life work to get conservatives to take control of the Supreme Court. I hope he loses sleep and is pissed because of this!

Trump compiled a list of people he would nominate to the Supreme Court during the 2016 election. Basically, the list was drawn up by the "Federalist Society" and the "Heritage Foundation" and they recommended Judge Gorsuch. No POTUS can ever predict how a judge they selected will rule on any individual case. How many saw Justice Robert's ruling on "Obamacare" coming? I would think before declaring this as a epic fail in Trump's eyes, you would have to evaluate the rulings for quite a few years before making judgement. I kind of like it when judges are not predictable on their rulings according to how we think they will judge a case. It gets tiresome seeing so many cases being a 5-4 decision with everyone voting as we all expected.
