TDF membership fees

Does anyone feel that TDF might refund a portion of this year's membership fees because of the lockdown? I know I had 6 months to go on my membership.

I think it would be nice if they offered present members an 18 month membership for the same price when we renew.

They're a non-profit, so, no thanks, I don't need a portion of my $40 back, nor do I need them to give me 6 months free.

I hope they don't refund and I hope people aren't compelled to request one.

Quite honestly I never gave it a thought. I am sure I have saved over 40 bucks since I renewed last November. And it is 40 dollars spent. I am not looking for any bonus when I renew.

They have laid off 98% of their staff. They are bleeding. PLEASE don't ask for your 20 dollars back, I beg you.

My membership was up in March and I renewed it simply because I knew they could use the revenue coming to them. I’m sure they will find some way of making it worthwhile when they are back up and running.

TDF has been a really great option for me in the past to get tickets to things and I wanted to give back to them during this difficult time.

I get so much value out of my membership that I will gladly pay them when I have to renew this year even if I can't use it till 2021.

Also the money goes to many great things like autism friendly performances and other great things that TDF does. 

I'd frankly be embarrassed to ask for anything out of them.

I’m pretty sure I got an email around the time Broadway was first shut down that they would be extending all memberships for however long the shut down is.

That being said, whether we get that or not, I don’t really care. Like others have said, they’re a nonprofit and I have saved SO much, even living four and a half hours away, so I don’t particularly care if they do that or not.

This is a great gateway to a larger discussion not being had about how so many theater administrators (non-profits especially, design/marketing/press agencies, and many theatrical orgs) have had massive layouts. Just because actors are the face of the industry doesn’t mean they’re the only ones without work.

In general, don’t request a refund from a nonprofit right now unless you really can’t live without that money.

You're right, I totally missed this email from March 26th, kudos to them for doing this but I'm glad to support them even if they hadn't...

Just looked online to renew but I can't find the option. There is a link for new membership.

May I ask how you selected to renew today? My account currently says it will Renew in March 2021 but I’d be more than happy to renew today to support them extend my membership another year if I have the option, just can’t find where to renew an existing membership before it’s close to expiring.

You might want to send an e-mail to their customer service people. (They are good at responding fairly quickly) Or just make it a donation. I got an e-mail a while ago that it was close to renewal time. I had until today.
