Below are the discussion questions for chapters 1, 2 & 3 of Michael Riedel’s Razzle Dazzle: The Battle for Broadway! Answer as many questions as you would like to get the conversation going, and feel free to ask each other questions, interact with one another, and use this space to start a discussion.

·       What questions would you like to ask Michael Riedel?

·       How much did you know about the legacy of the Shubert brothers before reading these chapters?

·       Was there something especially surprising for you to learn?

·       Was there a certain part of the history in these chapters that you thought was especially interesting to learn about?

·       Based on what you’ve read so far, what are you looking forward to learning about it the upcoming chapters?

I thoroughly enjoyed the book when I read it a couple of years ago, but I was surprised at the number of factual errors.  I would like to know who checked his facts.  

Since I have not read it recently, I can not provide an example, but there were incorrect facts that were not up for debate; he simply got it wrong.
