So, they are not going to have the former Signature Theater space on 42nd street. Do we think an off-Broadway space will scoop it up?

I saw this announcement and I'm confused by it. Surely they don't mean UCB as a whole is folding, that there will be no more UCB, right? They're just saying the theater is closing?

They are closing the theater and training center in NYC. The training center is going to be opening up again once all this is over, but in a scaled down format. I'd imagine they will be renting practice rooms for classes.

It pains me to say that once they lost the lease on their Chelsea location, it was the beginning of the end for UCB.

^Sorry - Lizzie is right - when this is WHAT the thread is about, a link is pretty standard.   It'd be different if Lizzy asked for someone to explain what the UCB was.

So here's one link.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Eventually, sure.  But it need a lot of work.
