With the announcements that Love Life and Thoroughly Modern Millie being canceled. (as well as the summer series), does anyone think they'll be moved to next season if possible? Or is it all just scrapped for good?
I was very excited about Millie so I hope that gets moved a future season, although I'd guess nothing is certain at this point. Millie was supposed to be directed by Lear deBessonet, who is taking over as artistic director following Jack Viertel's departure at the end of this season, so I'm hoping that means we'll see this production surface at some point.

Millie was canceled, if they were going to move it to next season they would have said that. I think it's scrapped for good, unfortunately.

Love Life hasn’t been revived in NY in 70 years and has never been recorded. It was intended to be the capstone dream production celebrating Jack Viertel’s 20 years as Artistic Director. Furthermore, he’s been assuring various people on Twitter this week that “I promise you, the production will happen.”
We can all move forward while also looking back. (Which, after all, is exactly the whole point of Encores.)

God, I hope so.
I was a little interested in what the updates to Millie might be but I won't be brokenhearted if it doesn't return. They certainly didn't fix The Wild Party. The original version of Millie is problematic but not seeing an updated production won't be the loss that not seeing Love Life would be.

" .I am sure they will fit it in somewhere. Given that so many bookings at City Center are touring companies, City Center could end up doing more in house sorts of things.
Re: Love Life, Jack Viertel tweeted "We'll do the production, I promise." That gives me hope, even if this is his last season.
Re: Millie, they were revising it for stock/amateur licensing anyways, so they might as well do it –– whether that's in the season or out of it. There's also the matter of financing, if there was any sort of commercial enhancement money behind it.
