Hi everyone... I'm new to the BWW chat boards. I'm 20 years old and I hope to become a music director/conductor in the future (I've played piano for eleven years and have perfect pitch). I've seen a couple of plays before and enjoy reading them as well, but mainly I prefer musicals (I've seen 30+ of them in NYC lifetime). PLEASE DO NOT MAKE FUN OF ME ON ANY THREAD, BY ALL MEANS.

So, let's get right to it. I know there have been numerous threads on this board about the COVID-19 crisis, but I would like to know if any shows that opened/began previews so far this season ("Moulin Rouge!" and beyond) have the ability to withstand the B'way shutdown, however long it may last. I know someone that is working on "West Side Story"... I hope Rudin can do everything in his power to keep it open.

Oh look, a bibu!

No offense, but you may want to read through those threads. This has been discussed. There is even a thread on this subject.

The thread as mentioned in the post above this one.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Thank you, I have read through it before. Hopefully this becomes more clear when the American Theatre Wing makes their Tony decision (postponed or cancelled altogether?). Then producers could either keep their shows alive or give them the hook.
