“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
So you're saying the poor can get sick and the rich don't have to worry---the comments are becoming more stupid than peoples' reactions."
I don't understand your contention, healthcare and wealth go hand-in-hand. The more money one has, the better treatment one can get. Many people can't even get tested for coronavirus without healthcare, so lack of wealth will cause major suffering. Very skewed on which demographic is more likely to recover from the virus.

The difference being they can afford the best doctors on the planet. I think they'll be fine. ACOVID-19 diagnosis is not a death sentence."

i dont think that was his/she intention in the post it was just referring to the fact that the Hanks family is well covered in this circumstance compared to others. Hanks is in Australia filming a movie which has Warner Brothers invested in his health. It's sad but Warner/Hanks money goes a long way in making sure Tom is taken care of more than the average citizen who would be facing this
Look at the NBA players who are all being tested as we speak for this after Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz tested positive. Can we say the same treatment is being given to the arena workers cleaning up the arena?

They are in Australia not the USA! Money may give a small advantage but not the difference between life and death. Good quality pubic healthcare accessible to all.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

the extremely rich have access to the best doctors money can buy. That shouldn't be a surprise.
