Has anyone else read this book yet? Not a lot of new territory covered here but I was surprised to read something seemingly inaccurate. He said that Dorothy Loudon quit the Signature Theatre world premier production of Kander and Ebb's OVER & OVER which I don't think is true. She was certainly in the show when I saw it.
I haven't read the book yet, as the release date for Canada on Amazon is March 16th (which is odd), but after checking, I found a review in which it lists Loudon being in the show, and Bebe Neuwirth being the one who had to left the production, and was replaced by Sherie Renee Scott.
"Ok ok ok ok ok ok ok. Have you guys heard about fidget spinners!?" ~Patti LuPone
I just took another look and the book clearly says that Loudon quit because her role kept getting smaller and smaller and Neuwirth was "let go" because her take on the character of Sabina was different than what the creative team had envisioned. Avian goes on to say that Neuwirth was "furious" when she was let go.
Neuwirth was definitely let go but Loudon didn't quit and she's clearly mentioned in all reviews of the show. I know you're right fashionguru, It irritates me when books make sloppy errors like this. It makes me skeptical of anything else I read in the book.
