Most everything on sale is also available online on Platypus Merchandise. The only thing I'm sure is missing is the photobook, but I'm unsure of the price.

They were saying to check it out on Spotify because now when you play the songs little 5 second videos of the london original cast/studio cast play. Thats what was new. Not an announcement for an OBCR

I do hope we get a live recording with the Broadway cast.  I need to plan a weekend jaunt up to NYC to see it before the ticket prices skyrocket.

If the prices skyrocket I wonder if the $ per minute cost will actually be higher than Hamilton, lol.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? Very well written. I hope he gets a substantive response and, ideally, a solution. He should at least be comped two tickets for a return visit. Plus, the theater staff has to control unruly audience members, for everyone's sake.

Well for one thing, they COULD comp him a pair of tickets to return. But more importantly, they can use their pull to make sure the house staff are more diligent about actually doing their jobs...

But isn't that something you'd bring to the house manager AFTER the performance, and not post online for clout?

Perhaps he tried to find a house manager after the performance and was unsuccessful doing so. You don't know what he has or hasn't tried, and frankly I see nothing wrong with posting online if you think the people who need to see it actually will. Your assumption that it is "for clout" seems awfully cynical considering you don't even know this person...

I don’t care when or how he reported it. The fact the house staff allowed this for almost the entire show is appalling! If I went to a show and this happened I’d be livid!

Definitely cynical because there was no mention of bringing the issue to the house manager in the post. If he did and they didn't do anything, that's ****ty.

II guess my mindset is things like this happen all the time, I'm sure. but I can't imagine a producer would be do anything. If they do, great. If not, I just wouldn't be surprised because this just seems like something that the house would handle.

I will say, it does suck that his impression of such a great show is tainted because of a couple asses, and I do hope he gets to see it again.

I’m shocked that this is the Brooks Atkinson. I’ve been there many times for Waitress and the staff there was always strict but kind about handling audience distractions.

Ouch. If the guests were special needs, what should've the staff done? Seems like an uncomfortable position to be in

Hearing special needs... but also drunk? Such a weird situation, but any of that behaviour can't be excused... it is distracting to the majority.

He has said on twitter that the producers have already reached out and taken quick action.

Its one oersons opinion that they were special needs. It mayor may not be true.

What is the hope? That they will talk to their staff about their responsibilty.

As someone who has ushered and house managed in the city for a few years the first few shows can be hard for any show. You're trying to figure out new late seating cues, trying to learn to show to figure out the best ways to get both yourself to patrons as well as to do the late seating, and also working with show management to figure the best course of action. Some shows want you to intervene but I've also worked in theaters where the shows like the feeling of a concert and wouldn't want us to stop loud patrons unless expressly pointed out by the cast or by a sound technician.

I feel for these folks, but I'm sure with a 90 minute concert style show, they were just getting their bearings in the house. Best of luck as I'm sure it won't be the last time loud patrons display similar behavior.

The other issue is that due to the concert setting, the Queens often encourage participation and engage with unruly audience, at least they did in Chicago when I sat next to a truly LOUD groupie that kept screaming and laughing really loud at every other line.

It’s only going to get worse with this show, unfortunately. In Chicago and St. Paul by the end of the run the superfans that kept coming back seemed to want to be a part of the show, not just watch it. So all their reactions were bigger as a way to get the Queens attention to engage with them ...which got more obnoxious as the night wore on.
