Hello all,
I am in from out of town and discovered they I missed the performance of My Name is Lucy Barton they I had tickets for (I thought it was tonight, turns out the performance was Friday)

I went to the Box Office to see if there was anything I can do before leaving town tomorrow, but they said Past Dating was my only option (I dont have any friends that live in the city and wont be back until after the show closes).

Do we think if I called MTC audience services, they would be able to provide any other options? I know that t is a long shot it if anyone has advice, please share

FYI the ticket was purchased at the Box Office

Since you won't be back until after the show closes, it sounds like even if they did an exchange and guaranteed you a specific seat on a specific date, it wouldn't help you. So really the only other option is a refund. Not saying it's never happened but I've never heard of a box office issuing a refund to someone who missed a show because of factors within their control. What you're asking them to do is take the loss for that empty seat instead of you due to you mixing up the dates. I'd be shocked if they would do that but I guess it couldn't hurt to ask.

Unfortunately, it sounds like past dating would be the only option (even if you were to call). I doubt this will be any consolation, but I found the show to be colossal bore, even with Laura Linney's performance.
