Michael Jackson musical will blame sex abuse allegations on the glove |
Just so everyone is clear, this is NOT the same Michael Jackson musical that is coming to Broadway this summer. This is a different Michael Jackson musical being produced in LA.
Not saying that changes anything about how gross this is, just making it clear to avoid confusion.

Ugh. Double post.
I find it very weird that a news article on this site would post this article without clearly identifying that the musical in question is not the Broadway-bound one. Yes, the original article from THR doesn't mention it, but on the other hand, that's not a Broadway site. The News Desk needs to do better.

I wish I had screenshot it earlier but I swear I saw Johnny Depp was listed as a producer on their website. This whole thing kinda feels like a prank of some sort? Like a Nathan for You sketch.
He says he didnt want to do a "sanitized" Michael Jackson story thast didnt deal with the child abuse. ...So he writes a musical that deals with it by blaming it all on an alien glove that needs virgin boys? This writer is disgusting. Good luck with your career Julien. I've never heard of you before and likely will never hear of you again.

"An earlier version of the story listed Johnny Depp and his production company Infinitum Nihil as producers of For the Love of a Glove. There is currently a dispute over credits and a rep for Depp says that he and his company are not producing and not involved in any way."

Didn't OJ try that defense? It worked for him.

I think the "news Desk" byline is used when press releases are run verbatim, there isn't usually any reporting or even editing.
