Show advice (yes another one) |
Glad to hear you're doing well! You deserve a show. It totally depends what you're looking for - A Christmas Carol is my #1 recommendation at the moment. If you can get a ticket, Sing Street at NYTW is my #2. Anything from your list will be great, though.

I can do a two-act musical/play with intermissions as long as the acts are not extremely long.
I don't know the runtime for each act in The Inheritance, but I think it may be too long for you in general since its 3 1/2 hours, each part. Slave Play is 2 hours with no intermission, so add in the extra 5-10 min after showtime to make sure everyone is in their seats and whatnot. Tina, I haven't seen, but id go for Moulin Rouge. It may be closer to 2:45, but theres an intermission, and the show is such a spectacle you won't even notice the runtime, it'll fly by and amaze you I'm sure. Id recommend Moulin Rouge personally, its just pure fun and a good time which I bet you need. Glad to hear you're doing well!
I've seen all four of these shows and the only one that runs through with no break is Slave Play (we sat in center orchestra row D for this show and found the seats a bit hard on the nether regions by the end). I'd rank your choices in the following order:
The Inheritance - This is obviously a long show, but we found it to be very engaging and it's broken up regularly.
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical - Highly entertaining and includes an intermission.
Slave Play - Provocative, but no break.
Moulin Rouge! - Includes an intermission, but the show felt like pure fluff, we didn't care about any of the characters, and we didn't feel it was worth the price of admission in the end.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've kind of narrowed it down to Tina or Christmas Story. Slave Play just doesn't seem feasible right now as two + hours with no leg room I know will cause pain and cramping. As for Moulin Rouge -- wow, sticker shock!
