I heard it's a different revival.

I really hate the Marquis. The weird, narrow escalators, the annoying elevators, the bathrooms. Whose brilliant idea was it to have Broadway shows in a hotel?
I apologize for ranting. I wish they would just move The Lion King there so it can just exist there forever.

Well, the Marquis was the compromise for knocking down 4 theaters to build the hotel. It had to have a theater. They moved The Lion King into the Minskoff so no one had to book that cave of a theater and the terms appeased Disney and solved a problem for the Nederlander’s.

I didn't know any of that, thank you for that info, it now makes sense.
ug this theatre again, it isnt a terrible theatre, been inside twice.
would never happen, but at this stage the only thing that would stop the 'curse' is if they transferred Hamilton to it (it is slightly bigger than the Rogers)

Just as Jujamcyn offered to move Book of Mormon into the St. James after the Tony Awards, this wouldn’t happen for one reason - supply and demand. Why have 500 more people see it each night when you can force 500 less people to pay more money each at the Rodgers, while also ensuring those new 500 will have to attend future performances.
or in this case since the tickets are still expensive, thats 500 more $300. tickets they could sell

I feel like Dreamgirls is a real possibility. They didn’t want to bring it in last season because Casey had The Prom has anyone heard anything about Crazy For You? That Signature production of Titanic is also supposed to transfer. The Marquis is certainly big enough
Marquis is way too big for Titanic, I think. I'm really hoping Dreamgirls comes in. That would make this a pretty well-rounded season.
Also, with Riley only wanting to do 5 shows a week, they’d need to find another “star” if she won’t do it.
