Nature of the game I suppose. You also have to think who's watching this show....older white Americans in middle America.

I for one am rooting hard for Lauren Alaina and Kate.

It's just as much a popularity contest as a skill/improvement thing.   

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Until this season of DWTS, I had never heard of Kate, much less seen her perform.  Now I am quite smitten with her.
